this is probably a dumb question but I've just come back to check in on the game and I'm finding it very difficult to /tell others and invite people that are in another part of Eorzea.
Anyone else feel the same? or am i not doing it right?
are chat and party functions getting updated?

you can always /pcmd add Fristname Lastname
but yes the search function as it is now is still lacking
right now for me the only thing that really annoys me is the party window (when you go to party details) displays the members with a scroll bar. Expand the window so you can see all 8 without scrolling or give us the option to resize the window pls! -

hate having to start every chat with pounding on the spacebar. i have a controller, I have a keyboard - worked fine in FFXI but still cant get them to work together well in FFXIV :(

Since the communication interface is lacking like everything else, I assume they will update it. It's a pain but I've gotten used to it... Just make sure your not mixing up the pcmd with pmcd lol. I've literally almost popped blood vessels thinking about why the invite wasn't working roflmao!
