Quest exhaust?

I have been doing side quests for the achievements and I noticed. After awhile all quest have been giving me a fraction of the claimed exp reward. For example if the quest gives 6000 exp I will only get 4500 or less. When a GC quest give exp and seal the seal is given in full amount but the exp again is less.

Please help me out. :( Should I post in bug and support section?

It's probably because you turn them in with a lower level than the recommended level, which lowers the exp they give.

Correct, the quest rewards scale negatively with the level of your class when you turn them in. This is to prevent you from doing a level 45 quest on your high level LNC, swapping to your level 2 CNJ, turning it in for 50k exp and immediately shooting up to 15 CNJ. If the quest is, for example, level 10, as long as you are above level 10 as your current class when you turn it in, you will get full exp. Some quests let you pick them up before their "optimal" level requirement, and if you complete them before that level you will also get the reduced exp rate like you mentioned.

I've noticed some quests have ~1000 XP (or whatever the value is) directly listed in the journal entry to denote this discrepancy, but some still list a flat rate.

Don't know if this is pertinent but some quests give out a set amount of exp: 200 exp, 300 exp, etc. While others give out a percentage: 5% of current class level, 8%. No matter what the initially quoted exp is, what matters is the level of the class you are when you receive the rewards.

Quests work like this:

Lets say a quest marked as a Lv40 quest grants you 5000 exp. I'm not working with exact numbers here, but lets say this is 7% of the exp bar from 40 to 41. If you complete this as a Lv40+ job, you will get the maximum amount of exp, 5000. If you complete this as a Lv39- job, you will get 7% of your max exp bar (by max exp bar, I mean however much it requires to level up, without taking into account what you may have already gained). Meaning if you're on a super low job that only requires 10,000 exp to level up, you would only be awarded 700 exp for completing the quest.
