This one is just the current chainmail. The breastplate is part of the model, even if not showing...it's like cuirass shoulder guards that were at iron cuirass even though they didn't show.

Probably will be used at higher versions of chainmails.

Yeah they designed armor in tiers. The highest level armor is detailed and has many bits and pieces, and they hide a piece or two for every lower tier. The best you can do is look at how much more detailed that piece is and guess how far off it is.
