Hi! so.. this has been an issue for me for the past 2 days... I have no antivirus, just MSE.
I started having the issue in northern thanlanan when i was getting a bunch of DX11 errors on one character.

Just to be safe, I logged onto my alt who was in balmung and didn't have an issue. but after about 2 minutes, she disconnected with the same issue... I tried changing to dx9, window and full screen modes and nothing... eventually, trying to log in gave me an error...

So I went to my friend's house and logged into my account there from his pc and moved them out of the troubled areas, setting them both at the FC house.
when I came back, not only could I still not log into them, but I now had an error of the account being troubled and I had to change my password... -.-;;
so I changed my password and did everything on the toubleshooter and tried several forum resolutions to fix it.
In the end, it seems like a fresh install would work. so i went to both the Documents and Computer folders and deleted anything remaining.
problem... I was getting the "unable to download patch" issue... so i couldn't install 14...

So i went BACK to the forums for a resolution. one of them was to change the dns to google's, which, I already did for Heavensward and totally forgot to change it. curiously, I decided to take that off and use my own dns.
that worked. everything was freshly installed...
I log in... and highlight Excalibur....
and i got even more DX11 issues...

I dun understand... so I tried something... I went to Balmung on the other data center and I can log into Balmung!

with that in mind I went back to the data center to find out why. So i started with the touch test...
I touched Lamia

but the MOMENT i touch Excalibur ( not even click JUST HIGHLIGHT IT ) it crashes...

I do not know what is wrong... I need help... I haven't tried going back to my friends to see if i can log in there because i dun wanna have to keep changing my password again... Please help...

08-22-2017, 07:30 PMworldofneilThat's only happening because you don't have an authenticator on your account. Each time you log in from a new IP address it forces you to change your password. Just add an authenticator (the Android/iOS software apps are free) and it'll stop that from happening AND you get to specify a free teleport in-game as well!Quote:
