Players Excluding SMN for Pf raid Groups.... Shame on you (ATTN Devs)

You know who you are. I see slots for dps caster and every job except SMN listed....or when i join as SMN the gorup disbands without any indication.

FYI....There are great SMN players out there. Stop reading bs on reddit. Instead of developing a perception that SMN can't progress in Savage try them out, because it is not true.

It also makes you look ill-informed and just flat out ignorant

SE is looking at it. We already know they were planning some sort of update for 4.1.

4.1 is what 4-6 weeks away? They aren't even out with 4.7 yet.

That's not soon enough

I'm sure they're doing their best to fix the issue of summoner balance.

Beyond balance there is nothing they can do about player behavior.

The only solution i see here is to reroll into RDM until October.

Do they so? SE did look into it during HW, as PLD was a piece of cupcake, did they made changes? Nope, or at least not to the extend that the job wasn't left out anymore.
During 2.x, SE looked into the WHM, as it was always excluded, did they fix it? Nope, SCH was just to good and the only slot in PF available when it came to the healer.

So guess they will look into SMN, but will they make changes? Don't get excited.

Yikes, it's that long? 4 months? I thought it was every 3 months they released big patches?

SMN has issues, and SE is already looking into it.

That being said, people have to understand that the current tools we have to parse are quite inaccurate. This has a big impact on some jobs, SMN being the prime example.
If you were to parse Bio and Miasma while comparing to ingame results, you'd see a noticeable difference. Also, since there's currently no way of tracking Dreadwyrm Trance with these tools, that's a 10% buff that you won't see on your DoTs. Direct Hits are also an issue.

Besides, if you take a look at current statistics for SMN, you'll see that the job is actually quite close to RDM. Sure, it's harder to play, clunky and counter-intuitive as f**k, and more punishing, but the actual numbers are fine. Borderline, but still fine.

So at this point in time, anyone banning SMN from their PF just because of their own self (false) certainties... is a profound idiot.
SMN's gameplay is borked, but the DPS is good enough.

What? PLD was excluded lol ppl were still doing savage with PLDs and WHM was never excluded :/ MNK was more so excluded then any job but even they still were able to do savage but currently SMN is on the outs noone wants one

To OP I guess all I can say is be patient even though it's kind of sucks to have to wait to October around the time where savage will slowly deteriorate because of the 24 man and the super savage fight

I don't know anything about parsing but SMN damage wise in its current state I would consider to be competitive despite the insane difficulty and in some ways fighting the class itself to maximize its potential. Like it takes tons of practice doing fights and I daresay a lot of DPS tunnel syndrome but it can yield numbers...with the cost of ones sanity, but numbers nonetheless.

Mechanically, I eagerly look to see how SE addresses my class in 4.1.
