Fishing 63-70 Assistance

I was having trouble catching fish at 61 in velodyna river. Almost 50% of fish gets away. Almost did not get any collectible at all. However I am now 63, it is a lot better at velodyna but I want to be prepared. Is there a reliable guide to follow for places from 63-70 so that I can avoid missing too many fish? Thanks!

If you're okay with using leves, I went this route:
-60-62: Highland Perch in Mirage Creek in the Fringes)
-62-68: Eastern Sea Pickle at Sui-no-Sato with a small gig.
-68-70: Sea Lamps at the Kobayashi Maru in the Ruby Sea with a small gig.
-If you manage to catch a few Bashful Batfish at the Kobayashi Maru you can get Teeming Shadows to spawn.
-Change to a large gig and put on collectibles and you can spearfish Mitsuriku Shark and Thousandfangs as collectibles!

I usually keep it on.

Even with i190 gear the fish in The Fringes got away about 30-40% of the time at Lv.60, and I went through at least 5 stacks of Salmon Roe.
It seems that going from HW to SB fishing is a massive leap in difficulty for the first few levels that people just have to deal with.

I, personally, would not recommend trying to level by catching scrip fish pre-67, the catch rate is just much too low.
Instead, turn in HQ leve fish that you can buy off the MB if they're really cheap, or tough it out and use a bunch of Squadron Survival Manuals or Earth and Water II/III FC buffs, Commercial Survival Manuals, Gathering food and Cordials.

As for Snagging, it's mostly used to get maps. There are a few Big Fish that require it to be on/off, but that's irrelevant when leveling. There's no harm in keeping it on unless you don't want to use your daily map allowance getting a low level map.

There are only a few fish that qualified in HW
