11014 Version check failed please help!

Hello thank you for your time, my problem is as follows

11014 Version check failed. (2.20452,20451)

I've not been able to play for the past week and after searching all over the internet I've tried editing my game.ver and boot.ver files. The best that's come out of that is being able to login right up to the char select screen where I'm then kicked and told to update!

Before I start searching for a manual patch, could someone please help me out? my game.ver prior to my editing was 2011.12.14.0000, and I'm able to access the start screen with it set to 2011.12.28.0000 (which then asks me to restart and patch). I feel there's a solution out there but i've not found it, is 12.14 the right version prior to 1.20a?

2 Reset PC
3 Edited Game.ver / Boot.ver files

Ok I set my game.ver to 12.23.0000 and was able to login, no patch dl or anything i don't know it's wierd but no responses here so i went for it! time to go run around
