SMN in PVP is everthing PVE should've been

Even though I'm not a big fan of pvp, I'm spamming the feast and frontlines just to play smn in pvp which is so damn fun. It's like a neverending almost 100% uptime cycle of dreadwyrm trance -> summon bahamut, I can't even begin to express how awesome that feels, not to mention the fluidity. The way pvp smn plays I believe is what comes closest to what the SMN playerbase has been demanding.

I'd say just keep the pvp core, 45s CD aetherflow and summon bahamut after 1 DWT stack. Then get rid of ruin and ruin ii and make ruin iii the new mobile goto spell and ruin IV the DWT ruin. Add in all the pertinent OGCDs and procs and we are set...

I agree. Smn in pvp is awesome. Best part is not having an unresponsive pet though.

I love pvp smn too, it just feels right, 1 DWT = 1 Bahamut just makes sense, in pve you have that clunky period where you're between first DWT and second DWT where nothing is happening, in pvp it's just trance > Bahamut > trance > Bahamut.

I also like that it's just 1 ahk morn per Bahamut with the trade off of being able to summon him more often, it fits better with the idea of classic summoners where they summoned their pet for 1 big attack then it leaves.

pvp SMN really feels much better to play than pve SMN.

Only some personal flavor is that I think Bahamut should not be up so often... When I first saw the SB SMN preview I thought that bahamut would be on a long ass cd or build up so you would summon him only once or twice per fight but you would be THE guy while he was up. But it only comes to personal flavor at the end of the day, if SMN ends up playing better with bahamut being up 50% of the time so be it.

Completely agree. PVP SMN is amazing. While I do agree out main PVE skill should be Ruin III (upgrading from Ruin I) I don't actually want it to be instant cast. I'd prefer to keep it the way it casts now in PVE and keep Ruin II as our mobility spell.
