Just curious. Does anyone else miss the ast proc for an instant benefic 2 and think that sch should get the crit proc instead for their shields? That would be so boss for deployment tactics and i miss throwing out so many instant casts for ast

It would be nice if the instant was held indefinanately until used. It would be more skillfull to decide to hold it as an oh sh*t button. I think for identity i would like to see ast move toward its time mage aspect as a weaker speed demon and away from a hybrid and scooting sch toward shields again
I mean, I can't be the only one who orgasmed when ast came out and the other healer was down and the tank is getting pummeled and you benefic>insta benific2>essential dignity>aspected benefic>swiftcast>ascend the other healer >:) I felt like a bursting speed healer who just snorted redbull
Guaranteed crit benefic 2 is a LOT more useful than an instant-cast one. It makes me a lot more confident to let the tank's HP drop a bit more, and I can always pop Lightspeed for weaving ogcd skills in.
I know but... I always feel gulity because i know deep down it would have made more sense for sch
I was just thinking about how much I missed instant Benefic 2 yesterday. It kind of made sense for AST's time-based aspects, but a guaranteed crit is a bit better, I guess.
Also don't get me wrong i love lightspeed but i hate healing people up then twiddling my thumbs waiting for it to fall off before i can dps so im not wasting mp on sub par deeps
If I don't need all of Lightspeed's casts I'll just click it off. Much better than waiting for it to fall off naturally if you need to throw the deeps.
Ooh thats good. Um im on ps4 but if you can click off im sure making a macro for lightspeed off will work. Thanks for the info
If I remember correctly, the dev team removed insta-cast of BeneII because when you queue it after BeneI it wouldn't proc in time to use it as instant. Like this:
Charge BeneI -> Cast BeneI -> Queue BeneII -> Charge BeneII -> BeneII procs -> Cast BeneII -> proc goes with the cast.
It was frustrating and they removed it...
They also said something similar was happening to Fire/FireIII, but they said they made adjustments to it. I think it works fine, but I couldn't say for sure since I don't usually queue Fire->FireIII, I usually queue Fire -> FireIV...
