Cover interacting oddly with Fester

Hello~

Currently, there seems to be some odd interaction between Fester and Cover.

1) If I cast DoTs on, say, an Enemy MNK and use Fester, I will not generate Aethertrail stacks if the Enemy MNK is covered before Fester hits.
2) My target, the Enemy MNK, has DoTs applied. Fester should do damage and register an Aethertrail stack, but does not, because Cover is on him and the PLD does not have DoTs.
3) My burst is interrupted because now I have to wait for Aetherflow to restore one charge to use before Dreadwyrm Trance (same as 4.0 PVE SMN before the fix).

Fester then does not generate Aethertrail (or damage!) because the damage is redirected to the PLD who does not have DoTs. I don't think this occurred prior to 4.0 PVP, the PLD would just take whatever damage was intended for his party member.

I feel like this is unintended, please fix. Thanks!

. basically any side effects to moves seem to be diverted to the paladin during cover, including DoT's , res down, etc, I believe silence is diverted as well. not sure though.

Feels like they did no testing themselves.


Edit: Lol Cover is terribly funny. I just tried to LB a scholar (melee LB, but should LB's even have a damage type? so weird) and the paladin covered them to stop us from bursting the scholar and died himself..to the LB. That was just too funny.

Is it only single target damage? Because Painflares go right through it. So does Midare Setsugekka for some reason . I figured it was just only blocking phys damage in PvP.

Basically on my Monk Painflares /Verflare/ Broil, have still hit me through cover, and on Samurai I've used Midare multiple times and had the damage not be diverted at all.

Oath Gauge Cost: 20
Depletes Oath Gauge by 20 periodically while active.

Yeah I read it. So why do certain moves not get blocked then ? And nevermind on the magical part I was misinformed by someone.

I thought the bug where Midare was magical damage was in this patch, but it was fixed this patch. So why does it hit through cover? Is the skill just that buggy?
