Question about billing.

This question will come in two parts, and I appreciate any answers in advance.

1.) Alright, so, with my wily tactics I have convinced my buddy to start playing FFXIV with me. I'd like him to start immediately, but I'm not sure if his free 30 day trial will begin upon activation of his account or if it will start on/after the 5th. I'd also rather not have a billing conflict to arise, because he's on his free trial while the game makes its shift into active billing. I doubt such a situation would arise, especially considering that they're pushing their FFXIV sale, but you never know.

2.) Also, I bought the game about a year ago. I bought it during the free trial period, and I'm wondering whether or not my 30 day trial will become active on the 5th or if it was counted alongside the "global" trial period.

It's my assumption that the 30 day trial begins upon the activation of the account, regardless of the universal trial period, but I would appreciate any confirmation! Thanks :)

You would need customer service to confirm, but based on what I've read and what their billing system displays, here is what I think will happen.

1. Your friend will start paying after his 30 days. The start of billing for the rest of us won't affect him. His free trial expiration date should show up in his SE account after he activates his copy.

2. The rest of us just got an extra long free trial. We all have to start paying on the 5th/6th depending on time zone.
