A Guide to Heavy Medal

Hello people,

We are now 2 days into Season 5 and I think it's time we bring up this guide once more written by the illustrious Marshal Renew

Please read this and learn how to deal with Heavy Medal...For the sake of literally everyone.

It should be noted that due to current damage, tanks ideally only want to pick up 2-3 stacks at most. That's 170-190 medals. Based on my experience, 4 stacks are actually too dangerous on tanks now due to less defensive cooldowns and much higher damage. Though of course a tank with 4 stacks has better survivability than a dps with 2 stacks if medals become too much to spread.

Update this guide to Season 5. Tanks no longer have passive 20% damage reduction, and only 2k HP more than melee. 4 stacks will get you killed pretty easily.

This is where it gets a bit complex. So far I've found the best to be: 4 stack tank, 1 stack healer or melee (I personally prefer healer for their more superior ability to los and avoid damage while still being 100% effective)

In high level games a 4 stack tank will die in half a second, so it will probably be better to spread 1 stack to tank/healer/melee.

However, at the highest level of play, you will probably maintain a healthy lead by strategizing your kills and pickups in a way so that the tank never goes over 2, and everyone else never gets 1

Ideally,
1st kill 50 medals goes to tank = 1 stack
2nd kill 50 medals goes to melee = 1 stack
3rd, kill 1st or 2nd target second time for 25 medals, goes to tank for his 175 total = safe 2 stacks
However that scenario happens not often.
You'll not want to give that 25 to someone with 100 because, despite that they'll not get a stack now with 125, next 50 medals will force someone to overstack.
