Completion checklist

I was wondering if I might be able to get some advice on what quest to finish/which jobs to level before I finish 3.X, from a story perspective.

I liked how Estinien aknowledged me as an equal and when the crafting teachers greet me when the story brings me to them and would like to run into more of this.

I am by no means requesting a comprehensive list, just some oppinions of good choices (ideally relatively spoiler free, though I aknowledge I'm asking for a heads up to the story after a fashion.)

If it matters, I'm right before the Anti-tower, levelling everything, just in case.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask. I asked a similar (if less eloquently phrased) question in general before I went to Heavensward and got back a levelling to do.

Edit: That is to say, things that will make the story make more sense, or things that just make it more cool, as subjective as that is.

There are a couple of nods if your a MNK or NIN in SB that I am aware of. If there are others I haven't noticed them. Nothing quite as big as the Azure Dragoon thing in HW.

How epic do you want those acknowledgements to be? Because the Postmoogle questline interacts with Paladin storyquest but not entirely in the most heroic way and if you want to keep any dignity whatsoever it may be best to just never go near the Hildebrand quests.

If you havent already, it might not be a bad time to go do the coils right now. Like, stop and go do that. You get some extra dialogue options in a 3.x quest coming up if youve completed turn 13.

I played through SB as a BLM, and i dont recall anything specific to my class. There may have been an NPC reacting to my fishing level, but i might have imagined it. The Belhi mention are the others ive heard of.

Is it possible to solo Twintania?

Also, is it possible to see such special interactions in the Never Ending Journey Journal Cutscenes later after you did them?

Your going to want a group to do Coil but if you use the PF you might have some luck. I have heard that the Journal only replays default dialog rather than the special version.

To get the scene mentioned from coils you only need to down Bahamut. That means clearing Turn 5, 9 and 13. If your in an FC it might be worth seeing if you can get a few people to run through it with you. Coils has a great story and while soloing it is a bit hard, 3-4 people can handle most of the fights from what I have seen.

The main thing I would recommend is making sure that you've completed The Binding Coils of Bahamut. Most of the time the story does not acknowledge your class, although there are exceptions such as being a high level Dragoon in Heavensward. Other than that there are just a few lines here and there, namely for Ninja I think. As far as the Binding Coils of Bahamut go, I would recommend making a story party for it. If you do it Unsynched you shouldnt' have much trouble finding a party. Even back on Brynhildr I was always able to find a party within 10 minutes or so. I would recommend using an FC or playing during peak hours however. The story is pretty enjoyable for the Binding coils as well, so try and get a group that will allow you to watch the cutscenes.

No need for this - just put up Party Finders for unsynced Coils on Tuesday after the weekly reset. Enough folks are spamming Wondrous Tails that you should be able to put together a party in short order for ANY Coil, even the troublesome Turn 9. Unsynced, four characters at level 60 or higher are sufficient to win any Coil (though for some having a healer will be important, and probably a tank).

Coil interest drops off pretty sharply after Tuesday, though, so it's not wise to wait until later in the week.

And since you asked, yes i believe Twin could be solod. Her damage output is low as long as you dont botch the divebomb and twister mechanics. I know it can be duo'd. And a really strong group can actually completely end the fight before she even takes off and starts the annoying part. But yeah, throw an unsynched/WT listing into the PF. I think the first time bonus for these stages is 100 poetics each, and we all know how desperate some people get for those bonuses.

It's not possible to solo at current gear levels, due to having to kill twin b4 the jump, or during the cast as she comes back, as the dread knight spawns, which will happen no matter twins hp, unless dead obv.
