Can scion potraits be traded?

The 4 scion portraits say Unsellable and Market Prohibited in the Resident Caretaker window before buying, which doesn't seem to preclude trading. However, some of the websites I've been on seem to indicate they cannot be traded. Can they be traded directly via the trade window?

No they can not be traded, I wasn't in an FC when I wanted the Yda portrait. Two Friendly lalafells invited me to there FC, bought it for me, placed it in there FC, and gave me rights to remove it.
