"Head of the Class" Quest Issue

The NPC Maddeline asked for 5 toadskin jackets during the quest "Head of the Class".. Upon clicking the NPC again, I became stuck, and had to crash the game to get out of it. Even with 5 toadskin jackets in my inventory, this still happened (and by the way, the quest journal details the wrong materials needed to make the item). I also tried with 5x toadskin hunting belts since apparently it can ask for different items, but that didn't work.

I would abandon the quest if I knew I could start it over, but I'm unsure that I'd be able to.
