Is there a reason why the element skills are different on certain DOTH jobs, it makes my macros irritating when i have to keep changing the skills from "name of the fire" or "name of fire" is this a bug or has this always been this way?

It's always been the case IIRC. There's a few recipes that actually are aspected. If this were a bug it would've been fixed a long time ago
It's a pain, but if you have the free macro slots I'd recommend just having several separate macros. One for each of the following: LTW/BSM/ARM/WVR/CRP. So you may have:
WVR Lv 70 40 DUR
/ac "Name of Lightning" <wait.2>
/ac "Ingenuity II" <wait.2>
/ac "Steady Hand II" <wait.2>
/ac "Brand of Lightning" <wait.3>
/ac "Brand of Lightning" <wait.3>
/echo Macro #1 complete <se.14>
Then:
CRP Lv 70 40 DUR
/ac "Name of the Wind" <wait.2>
/ac "Ingenuity II" <wait.2>
/ac "Steady Hand II" <wait.2>
/ac "Brand of Wind" <wait.3>
/ac "Brand of Wind" <wait.3>
/echo Macro #1 complete <se.14>
So rather than constantly swapping the text in the macros, you just have 5 extra macros, for each different element aspect.
(YES, I'm aware this isn't an efficient macro to use, but it's an example.)
