If possible try to get most of your tomes early in the week and check lodestone daily for advance warning about upcoming maintenance periods.

You have one entire week to cap and they published the maintenance post severals days before.
If you couldn't inform yourself or cap, it's your fault you know, not theirs...
Learn to read. This has been posted for the past 3 days. It's your own fault for not capping sooner.

you were given a notice upon clicking to login through the launcher. you had to actually click 'okay' to get through it. learn to read.
numbered patches are almost always on monday going into tuesdays reset.
