I'm not saying this is a bad idea, but could you further elaborate how this would LFP flag would work out? In my mind, I can just see 20 people standing in the streets of Ul'dah, all with a little LFP floating above their head, but with no real, easy way to determine what class or level range they might be looking for.
It could be a round circle with a ! in the middle or something like the one in XI. It went right next to the name on the left side. :)
I agree, they have to be redundant on the LFG inviting options, but still manage to link it seamlessly together.
If they were to add the icon "!" next to a player's name that has flagged "Seeking Party" via "Search" then clicking on that player's LFG should open up a menu to that player's search details. Such as what jobs he has leveled up, what he wants to party as, search comments, and all that good stuff from "Search" feature.
In other words it should open up this window when you click on their LFG button;

Additionally, that should have been done with "Party" "Seek Invite" too, since "Seek Invite" was never intended for "Party", or just have it removed from "Party".
Basically It would function as others have suggested, allowing players to visually see players who are LFP, as well as remind those that there is a LFP function. Checking the player would give you that level of detail as preferred class. I think it should be the same symbol in the player search screen.
The info in search would still stay the same, but just like the bazaar, and repair icons, it would show up above their heads. From the notes it sounds like this was confirmed for 2.0, but I'm just asking for it a bit sooner if possible.
