SMN & MCH buff in 4.06 on 8/8 ??

looks like SMN and MCH getting yet another buff in 4.06..... hopefully it will be a good one. MCH has it pretty bad... my friend was so shocked that we got a MCH in our expert PT last night... "I thought they (MCH) are extinct"

anyone else know what the buff might be?

If they don't give SCH/SMN their Sustain back, I could give no less of a rat's ass what they do. Those two jobs are dead jobs to me [in relevant content] without that button.

Over dramatic much? While sustain was nice, its by no means needed to play either job regardless of what content you're doing.

Sustain is not the issue of smn. It's the overall flow during battle. while other classes play smoothely, smn feels like a rock you have to push with almost a single spell, over and over again to get to your goal. He doesn't need only sustain... more like an overall tweak or also a rework in some aspects..

Edit: I expect only good news guys. from where we are now, it just can go up IMO...

Scholars can survive without Sustain just fine, but lack of Sustain renders Titan-Egi to almost useless and the other two more fragile. Since Physic still runs off of Mind, SMN's lost most of their ability to maintain their pet. Physic is pathetic.

The options are to give SMN Sustain back, or scale Physic off of INT (just like Vercure does).

As for MCH, I don't know what the plans are. It's very clunky, and while the last buff helped a touch with outputs, MCH is still dramatically outclassed by BRD, especially as a support job.

I think it was mentioned in the article that some changes will require more time from what people were translating on reddit? I wonder what functionality changes they have in store if that is the case.

What's with people overdramatizing sustain. I mean, I get why a Summoner would want it back but it's such a small issue compared to everything else the summoner is. Why is Sustain the make or break for people lmfao. The Aetherflow lockouts, the constant super boring ruin spam, the reward-effort ratio, the at points extremely ridiculous and tight windows you have to deal with for maximizing DPS, the clunkiness of pet and bahamut, the fake utility, thats the important part for me.
It's beyond me why SCHs want Sustain back even lol. I mean, cmon, a physick heals slightly more than a sustain and both are GCDs. I just don't get it.

Without destroying the uniqueness of vercure, just have physick add the sustain effect if used on your pet. That would already solve this problem in it's entirety. I still don't get the overdramatizing from some people nor the stubborness from SE to give physick such a simple change.

SMN egi's die awfully quick now. As a healer, I get a lot of thanks of keeping the Egi's alive but yeah, it's much needed as a SMN.
We can live without it as a SCH but there are times where I miss it but it's not a MUST HAVE especially when we heal and the faeries can heal themselves lol.

And mine doesn't. I can understand the need of sustain for some people but the smn needs other changes tbh. Like for example I move my pet around when I see aoe is incoming, BUT this results in dps loss, clunkiness of the pet, not even responding to skills used, and if used the mob is most likely dead and your Enkindle probably on CD. THIS has to be changed. I really don't mind if they would get rid of the pets, create new summon skills where egis fight on your side for a few seconds, executing their special abilities, without your orders. Because this whole system slows down the smn's dps. Like Demi Bahamut for example only with other better looking summons.

Edit: And about physik : I really never use that skill. If the smn would have more opportunities killing some groups faster and NOT locked to aetherflow, or even single targets with example a better aoe GCD than this shitty tri-bind (whoever created that skill, get another job) - you wouldn't need a tank pet. More opportunities to burst results in no need for some trash pet that tanks your mobs or a healing ability, which is useless.
