crafting/ gathering orders

Personally, guildleaves have never made that much sense to me, at least the way they are implemented. How are guild leaves any different than quests? I would love to actually feel like a master craftsman that works for a guild of craftsmen. Let crafters (and maybe gatherers) fill orders for their professions guild that are from real PCs. Hide player names behind retainers, like they already are, and cap the number of orders one can take at some arbitrary number. supply and demand would be way more fluid if we could readily see what is in demand.
