It would be nice to have a section of the forum where we can voice, share and discuss all things final fantasy or not without having our threads locked. A big part of Final Fantasy is the community and it would be nice to have an internal place on these forums where we could be free to discuss and converse without repercussions.

IMO it would be nice...but there already plenty of fansite forums around.
And if you look SE side, it's a feedback forum so it would be a waste of menpower effort having to moderate a forum that would add no benefit to the game. As SE, I would be very pissed if i knew i was paying a moderator/GM team to moderate a forum where people would talk about everything EXCEPT about what i wanted...my game.
It's not about talking about random stuff...it's about where you want to talk about it.
