Savage loot question

What is the benefit in joining a savage party if you have already cleared for the week? I'm sure this has been answered somewhere before but I couldn't find anything in my quick search.
It seems like the only thing it does is prevent the other 7 people from getting 2 chests of loot.

There's no benefit to your own character.
However, a party going for their first clear or a group that is down one or two static members for the week will sometimes happily take someone who has cleared. That party will only get 1 Chest but at least they'll all get their weekly Token drop from that turn.
Better than nothing if reset is getting close.

theres plenty of bored people who got nothing else to do so they randomly join PFs to help out.
I know plenty of people like that who do that all the time.
And especially if youre trying to get a savage clear in PF and people just keep on failing....youd rather pick someone experienced and get your guaranteed Datalog item + 1 chest than nothing at all from wiping.

Some people just enjoy Savage raiding and/or want to help others getting their first clears. Most learning groups won't care about loot. They just want to see all the mechanics, which I veteran can more easily help them with.
