Is there any point in getting your Aetherpool to 99 in PotD?

If say, all you want to do is speedrun 51-60? If I am not mistaken it's also capped to some degree right? So the maximum effective aetherpool would be...I forgot. Someone help me out
here :)

I can still get increases till 70+ on some floors, but I'm not sure what the exact formula is.

There is always a chance, though rather small, to get an Aetherpool increase on your items(I was able to get an increase on some of the lower floors when mine was 80+, but it was VERY rare). Aside from using it to get the Kinna weapons, you only need it to be able to make going to floor 200 easier(so I've been told, I've never done the floors past 100, so not sure how they are).

For running solo it helps specially if going after achievement. Otherwise glamor weapon, 30 for base, 60 to upgrade. If going to floor 200 then yes it is a must.

If you are just running 51-60 then no, you don't need 99
