Aetheric reduction crystal yield?

Fairly short question. I had discovered last night that aesthetic reduction could be used to farm crystals, but upon trying it myself today, the yields were far lower than people were demonstrating in their HW videos. Did SE stealth nerf this or do the yields increase once I reach lvl 70?

It was nerfed pretty hard.

I do aetherial reduction pretty regularly and the max I get for crystals is around 30-40 from the SB nodes. Crystals can be upwards of 50 but normally at that point they get replaced by aether sands.

It was nerfed on 4.0 SB release.

You can get about 700 crystals per Ephemeral run (4 Eorzean hours). With Hi-Cordials used on cooldown, just use Single Mind, don't spend any GP on Discerning Eye, unless you also want to get Aethersands.

It was only "nerfed" if you simply look at the number of crystals you receive per reduction. If you consider that ALL levels of gatherables are *always* present on every ephemeral node (as opposed to the lowest one level always there and higher level options a *chance* at being there) it is actually a buff or at the very least, roughly equivalent. You never have to sit there waiting for GP or "fish" for the high level gatherables which was a huge QoL improvement.

While I do appreciate having the highest level always show up, there is a problem with the amount you get per reduction.

I usually use it now to get lightning crystals as I tend to run out of those along while crafting. Can get 20-30 per reduction easy. Clusters however seem nerfed. Used to get 30-50 per reduction. Now it's more like 18-20.Once in great while you can get 30, but not consistently as you used to get.
