Limit Breaks Feel Underwhelming (Suggestion)

Ever since I started FFXIV, I've always felt that limit breaks were pretty underwhelming. Particularly in lower level dungeons, they take so long to charge up and then when they finally happen, they do so little.

Something that would make leveling dungeons a little more exciting is if limit breaks maybe charged a little faster, or made a little more impact to make them feel more exciting.

Or if limit breaks were revamped across the board, and made more into like a personal limit break (each person would have their own limit break bar) that can be combined with others in your party. Almost like weapon skill combos I'm FFXI; if a dragoon and a monk both used their limit break within a few seconds of each other it would create a limit break combo that would do a more exciting amount of damage. Another plus is that it would encourage more communication between the party members resulting in a more satisfying gameplay when done correctly.

Well the problem now arises that a single bar LB is actually weaker than a crit BLM foul. Sure it's free dps but it still should have a bit if OPness to it. I mean it takes long enough to charge it and then cast it.

I have never used my tank limit break once since I started playing the game so I would like to see it changed to be a bit more useful. I like the idea of everyone having their own limit break for themselves so maybe even the tank one could be used as a CD in a raid or dungeon. It does seem kind of boring just being a button to use to finish off the boss a bit quicker in most cases but hey thats just my opinion.

Using a caster/ranged limit and destroying multiple waves of enemies at once in a dungeon feels sorta powerful, but i do know what you mean. They could feel like a bigger deal.

And Kyrph, there have been a few fights ive been in where the default strategy to survive the "ultimate" has been to tank LB through it. So its out there, just not all that common.
