Opinions on the PS4 version, please.

Just looking to see if XIV is worth picking up on the PS4. I plan on getting the Pro in the next 2~3 weeks and would like to get opinions on how it performs.

I jump between PC and PS4. PS4 version works great.

PS4 version plays perfectly fine (better than my current PC.)

ps4 version works dandy for me. the only time I really have issues is when there's a bajillion people in the lochs for the ixion fate.

Everyone has issues with the Ixion FATE.

I prefer console, and the PS4 runs great. Load times are good and snappy, no graphical issues, everything is accessible.

I play controller as a main healer and it's worked great for me, but a regular mouse and keyboard layout is an option, just not with a fancy gamer version of either as PS4 can't take the required drivers for them.

Mmmm, otherwise do get a keyboard that you can hook to it.

Mind you I do not have a Pro, so I don't know any Pro related bonuses there.

Yea, thats the server crapping out not the PS4.

Been playing on PS4 since Jan, works great.

Use controller but have a bluetooth keyboard for occasional communication.

I've been playing on PS4 since December 27th 2016 It changed my experience for the better (R.I.P PS3)

Thanks. This makes my decision all the easier. Remembering my PSN password might not be quite so simple as it's been 3 years since I sold my PS3.

Only thing i wish they would do, is instead of 'Show limited' for Players/enemies have an extra option for players only and leave full stuff for monsters, cause during 24 man raid or server-wide hunt (aka ixion or S rank), the frames can drop quite a bit and if you make the graphical stuff for people outside of you/party to none (or something similar name to it), you don't see aoe and ect on the ground from what i remember.

it works great.

probably roughly the same as any average PC. the only time i experienced lag or FPS drop was during high-valued/Rank-S hunts and world bosses where at least more than one full party is fighting one enemy. there was also the usual internet issues and your PS4 will scream it's cooling from the top of its lungs while playing (im not sure how PS4 pro is, but im assuming its better).

you can switch back to PC whenever: all that is required is your username and password as well payment for all expansions including the base game.
