People keep saying it does. Patch 4.05, the servers went down at 6:00 am EST on tuesday. Ixion was killed 12:00am EST 6 hours before hand. Ixion spawned twice around 4:00 pm EST. That's only 34 hours. Accounts on Reddit also show that it has downed as early as 9 hours.
Now if only they'd do this for all of the S rank hunts too.

Either way with hunts they have shown they are able to set two different cooldowns, one based on last death and another based on last maint, the latter usually being shorter, so you aren't really posting evidence of anything.
Tamamo seems to have a shorter CD than Ixion so Tamamo is a good example of a boss that seems to go on CD for minimum 24 hours after a maint, even if she didn't spawn before maint.

Plus if you consider after 4.05 we got 3 instances to spawn Ixion, so it does make sense to me that it got killed twice right after the maint? Plus the window opens immediatly when we go to maint, meaning it can spawn in the very next 36h in all 3 instances.
