Why are Trials in the Leveling Dungeon Roulette?

Working on my Wonderous Tails journal. Queue for Leveling Dungeon excepting to get something ticked off from 1-69. Instead got Garuda Trial. Doesn't even count as a leveling dungeon that can be ticket off the list.

Made the mistake of queueing as DPS it seems, so i waited 10+ minutes for literally nothing but durability loss.

I understand it can be hard to get people to do charity work. But why put them in the dungeon queue? Why not put them in the trial roulette where they would be expected? This is a minor ordeal for a healer or tank with near instant queues. In fact i bet its a blessing to many just looking to cash in on the bonus. This feels terrible as a dps trying to level up though. You really don't have many options to level efficiently besides dungeons..

If the trial roulette isn't being ran as often as you would like creating a bottleneck, why not incentivize them?

Simply put, they are duties that you go through while levelling through the story. As such, they are in the levelling roulette. I for one really am happy when I get Ifrit, or Garuda for example, in my levelling roulette, as it makes for a very quick and smooth roulette. And more importantly, if you end up in one of those, that most likely means that there was someone queued specifically for it that needed it at that point in time. It is very useful for new players doing those duties for the first time to have this way of getting extra players for it.

If there's one complaint I have about roulettes, it's that duties you have unlocked but haven't yet completed can also show up. Like that one time I was intending on doing The Singularity Reactor with friends some time later, but I got it in my trial roulette that day. I felt very awkward and unprepared. This is also how I ended up doing my first Zurvan. After months of putting it off, it showed up in my trial roulette one day.

Trial roulette only includes 8-man trials.
The 4-man trials are in the leveling roulette together with other 4-man duties.

Getting a 4 man Trial is the jackpot in the Roulette as a tank or healer.
As a new player who mains heals my main source of income is getting clusters. I did a few today and have got Garuda twice (the cut-scene is long but a small price to pay) – but it's mainly Doma/Ruby Tide; in my experience at least.

If your trying to lvl with instances, you should really only being doing roulette once for the bonus, in which case ifrit/titan/garuda are a win. Otherwise you should just be menuslly queueing the highest 2-3 lvling dungeons and just taking what comes first.

Side note you can make a custom roulette of up to 5 instances with a party of less than max size, that can fit into recommended setup.

Because they are part of the leveling experience?

Wait...are you watching the cutscene, or is it a new person watching?

If it's you watching, there is the setting to be able to auto skip any that you've previously seen. If it's a new person...yeah those are somewhat lengthy scenes for such short fights.

Yes, the new person... What kind of masochist do you think I am?!? :)

Always feels like I get less expensive from the trials vs a full dungeon... of course I never actually compared numbers between the two...

I mean, you do get a little less(you only defeated one thing afterall). But because you finish so fast you end up getting more exp per minute. Frees you up to do more/other things.
