I posted this on the New Players forum, but didn't seem to get any answers.

Hiya there. I've been playing on and off since the beta, and since lately I've not been happy playing XI, I've decided to quit that and come here full-time, to add my support for the potential this game has.

Usually I put my characters in Rabanastre, but I'm wondering if there's a linkshell on another server that I could get into and try to get better acquainted with XIV.

I'm actually surprised, Rab has a decent population and many social linkshells. Have you tried any of the LSes posting in the Rabanastre forum?

to be honest, the forums aren't the best place to ask for linkshells, seeing as how only a small portion of the userbase actually posts here.


you're better off joining random parties and asking around.
