When Do I Get My Gold Chocobo Feathers?

I recruited a friend, they have entered the code...how do I get the 5 feathers?

When they sub their firat month i believe

I thought you got 5 just for recruiting, then more when they sub? :\

Did you check to make sure you had space in your mail? You might have to delete something for it to arrive.

Also, I recall it being when the code's put in, but the code has to be put in after the game is bought, but before any sub time is added.

You do. 5 for your first recruit. Once they download the game and register for a Square Enix account, then they log into the Mog Station using that user name/password and register the code. The feathers are then pretty much immediately sent to you in game via Mog mail.
