"FFXIV Launcher Error" when trying to log in for the 4.05 update!

As the title says, i'm having trouble once again trying to update my game to 4.05! Every time i turn on my launcher, and then log in, i get the white box "FFXIV Launcher Error" over and over... Has anyone found a fix for this yet, or should i wait this out after 3:00 A.M. PDT?! I haven't had this issue since 3.X, but now it's back again and i'm super frustrated at SE for this.

It's after 3 now and it's still happening.

Edit: Fixed it by changing my DNS servers to SAFEDNS per a suggestion on reddit

This worked for me and I'm now downloading the patch:

Fixed it for me. I tried switching to google DNS, and it didn't work. So I tried SAFEDNS and it worked. Thanks guys!

I switched to SAFEDNS after it wasn't even patching correctly. That solved that now it is giving me the launcher error. Ugh.

Tried the safedns solution, didn't work. Let me guess, they somehow fucked things for Europeans again?

I've done everything but reinstall the game. I'd really rather not do that.
