So either they player base that actually plays DRK is very small or they simply get ignored.

Coming into SB DRK got turned into a complete different job, some may disagree but it lost its identity. Along the way we got TBN and BS to make up for all the amazing stuff we lost, but is this enough? The answer is NO. TBN should be at least 6sec instead of 5, taking away shadowskin and forcing it down to a role action only gives us less choice in role actions and less mitigation across the board. Shadowwall is close to useless on 3min. Dark Passenger is still a minus 1 skill in our arsenal.

Increasing the rotation/combo potencies every patch will not solve these problems.

What's the job rate of classes atm again? They usually only do changes when they see a noticeable drop or increase in activity in numbers. Like at the start of 2.0, DRG outnumbered other jobs by 20-30% depending on regions. This put SE into the mindset that Dragoon was 'fine' and took them a whole year to fix the class, never mind the crappy Primal server side latency that caused dragoons to eat Landslides while being animation locked unless you were from the eastern coast from NA. Or the fact its a very iconic, staple job as far as Final Fantasy goes that has some visual appeal from the get go.

Square Enix and even Squaresoft back in the day, always been a very proud and stubborn corporation. Even after the disaster that was 1.0 and that three part Youtube documentary saying otherwise very little has changed about them.

They have this really methodical approach to things and they stick with it. My way is the best way, who cares about what the customers think and the facts and numbers?

Nevermind the fact DRK isn't fun anymore and a complete chore. We even lost our coolness factor and a ton of flavoring. The blood gauge is mostly tacked on since every job needed one. Our old kit was either forced into the gauge and toned down to implement new skills and made worse somehow. Blood Price was a much better skill until Delirium came along.

Meanwhile, all we got was TBN and a Darth Sidius meme spin slash.

I'm going to stick with DRK tho because I'm as stubborn as they are. PLD puts me to sleep and WAR just isn't my thing since turn 4 of coil.

Did you keep playing DRK? I stopped playing WAR until they announced the changes in the live letter. I couldn't let myself show up in SE's statistics or anything.

I leveled all the tanks, PLD was my go to for everything without my group as its the most solid tank of the 3 and probably still will be

I'm currently debating on Warrior or Paladin right now.

I'm going to stick with DRK. But, at this point, it will only be for aesthetic purposes. I mean, I don't think it's a bad class but it has so much room for improvement. It's getting harder and harder to ignore my WAR, though.
