Weaponskill animations too loud, can I lower their intensity?

I have a weird problem. I love how visually satisfying ffxiv is but I find that the graphical animations are a bit much. When I ever I execute a move I generate so many colors and animations that some times I can’t even see what my character is doing.

(I love SAM and MNK, the characters do cool things, but the animations drown it out)

I know I can turn the feature off, or reduce the amount of animations, but I like them. I’d like to turn down the brightness or play with the contrast. When I look at others play on youtube, I don’t see the same issue. Issue seems to follow low to ultra settings. I have a 1050ti gpu, so I think I'd good there.


Does this make sense to anyone? Any suggestions?
