Bane/Sustain in 4.1
Having played my fair share of summoner so far, I can honestly say that the Bane nerf I feel is huge. Not to summoner but to its usefulness as a skill. Painflare and fester are more useful, dps wise than Bane will ever be.
IMO i think that main should be brought back to its original 1 target + 2, (without using an aetherflow) and sustain brought back by using 1 aetherflow, and either healing a percentage overtime, (for pets) or being a buff or heal for Team Mates. for example (use use Sustain on a Tank, each time they take damage for the next X seconds, it is reduced by Y percentage. If used on a pet, it will heal X% of its life every Y seconds.
For Healers it could be, Each dps dealt by the anointed healer, will be released after 3 seconds in an aoe heal, centered on the healer.
etc, etc.

No, just bring back the NORMAL sustain. It's a pain in the ass to keep pets alive and having to position them again and again which takes time from Sch/Smn. Don't try to change what wasn't broken.

Dude no one would use sustain if it used up an aetherflow. It's just not worth it.

Bring back Sustain as it already existed.
Give Bane damage fall off using the same %'s as every other damage fall off ability in the game.

We don't need heals for group that the healer job... we need heals for our pets

Remove Physick from Summoner, swap it with Sustain.

They didn't remove Sustain for balance, they removed it because they thought nobody used it. Screw using an AF charge, bring it back exactly how it was.

I agree. Sustain was incredibly useful in keeping a pet alive, and as I level up my healer, Ive actually been trying to actively toss heals/regens at SMN's pets because I know how frustrating it has become.
Please bring back Sustain as it was in 3.X.

I'm more confused now why the devs really don't want to bring it back.
What data are they looking at that made them see it as ability bloat verses something super situational? Are there really that many players on ACN/SMN/SCH that never used it?

I assumed they removed it because SMN was so strong solo compared to a lot of other jobs. But the current situation is no good. Just change Physick to Sustain at a certain level or something via traits if need be. Very interested to see what tomorrow brings regarding Bane as it feels very unsatisfying now.
