Vote Dismiss (Punishable Act)

Hey, So in POTD guess I booted someone's friend who was literally mooching the group. afk full two floors and even died cause they were afk. Majority rules so... they got booted i asked if they were going to replace right before we get to floor 60 and I get booted too.

I don't think what I did was in any way wrong but... SE has a policy about this called the Account Penalty Policy. I hope they at least do this to the reported person for wrongful dismissal.

Anyone know someone who got banned for a few days for dismissing someone unjustly?

Gonna be that person and say try not to make too much of a big deal out of this. It does sound bad, but if this is a one time experience with someone / a group it might just be best to block said people and forget about it. Almost never happens unless they made it known they were doing it to keep you from obtaining loot (like "my friend wants this drop sry") or blatantly griefing. Can report anyway, though.

I know I had a bad group run with some POTD guys who kicked my buddy because they were a machanist and laughed like crazy about it. I reported them and then left. I didn't get a penalty and I never saw those two dinguses again. You will never know if anything happens though because SE keeps things hush hush. You will just have to hope that at least something gets done.

Given how some people are well known from server to server for being toxic and they are still around, makes me feel reporting is more of false hope. Can't even really get in trouble for "wrongly kicking" as long as they never spoke a word of it in game when in reality on Discord they were laughing and had it in mind already. Regardless all we can do is blacklist these people and move on.

Well I don't know how much your action will work against them, but I'm almost sure nothing will happen: I once got booted from a team because I didn't do my job as a tank - despite being the BLM's fault for not letting me aggro and pulling instead of me - resulting in me getting booted, and when I reported the act what I was told was essentially "They might be right, so git gud"

Now this wasn't potd but a legit normal dungeon and the message I received wasn't "git gud", but all I'm saying is that vote dismiss is most likely not going to be bothered with.
