So i just hit 50 on my PLD a few days ago and have been going around unlocking all the hard mode dungs since basically. I'm not sure if I should just continue the story until I'm 70 or try to gear up or what at this point. I'm thinking leveling is what I should be doing and just making sure I have good enough gear to continue the leveling process. Ps, I just started this game like two weeks ago,
If you just follow the main story you will get good enough gear as quest rewards.
If you have just reached level 50, you should start by making sure your weapon is not too lousy (ilvl 45+ is enough for you at this point) and then do your level 50 class quest - which together with the level 45 class quest will give you a full set of i90 left-hand side armour..
After that just follow the MSQ - that plus rewards from some sidequests will give you all the gear you need for your main class all the way up to level 69 - when you reach level cap it is time to start worrying about gearing up.
I've completed the main story and getting into heavenward. Did all the PLD quests to get all that gear at the 50 quest. Thanks for the help. I'll just focus on leveling then
