Hi all
I just hit 50 last night on BTN and MIN and currently geared to hit 307 gathering, 314 perception and 561 gp. I did manage to get the Forager's off hand for BTN, and picked up the gloves for the GP. I'm also a little short on GSM to be able to make the electrum earrings.
I am confused as to what to do next though. Should I just do leves till 51 when I think I can buy/make a new left hand set? Or should I be trying to meld up to 600 gp so that I can do collectibles?

If you can get to 51 without worrying about gear do that, the 51 gear/ 52 MH/53 OH are huge upgrades from the level 50 common gear.
I wish I could help you, but reading your post looks like you are missed without a fixed goal, first find your goal and then work for it, if your goal is collectibles you should level your job a bit leves for gather and craft are the best way just find one not expensive, and about the gears if you are in a hurry of having high values of craft/gather/CP/GP, you can buy these gears on market and meld materia on them, I am sure that you can find a good price for the gears you need, particularly my gears I buy on market because I am a tragedy in crafting my own.
