Has anyone managed to test this to see if it has been done?
I am messing around on the sea shore near South Bloodshore (I still don't have this atherite). Now neither Snippers or Goddess Gridles (the two types of mobs in the area) are on the exception list but they are both attacking me from a large distance.
Has anyone had any experience with other mobs or am I just unlucky?

A friend and I were aetherial gate hunting in Black Shroud the other night, suiciding through packs of level 70+ Pugots and Waterdogs and such, and the only mobs that were able to snipe us from afar were Doomvoid Guivres and Smolenkos, both of which are on the exception list.

Did you make sure they're doing their old ranged attack (for crabs I think it's called Brackish bubble)? If they are I'd call it an oversight, and if not I'd call it a bug.
