[suggestion] tank accessories

I tried to look through the forums for a long time but didnt find anything relevant except rants so...

Can SE finally put STR on tanking accessories now that they are locked, so that tanks aren't forced to do dumb things like tank in str accessories, so that healers can stop complaining?

If Yoshi P is so concerned about tanks outdps horrible dps classes, then make main stat give .9 attack power instead of 1, much like it was when 1 vit + 1 str only added up to .9 attack power. Tanking accessories need to scale attack power like any other class with upgrades in gear, not to mention tanks shouldn't be forced to meld main stat EVERY patch.

Is there any actual hindrance to having all the classes (including tanks) obtain scaling attack power increase in each patch henceforth?

This, or fixing Tenacity, or both, would be the logical way to fix this entire issue. And as for tanks out-dpsing bad dps, until they literally take our weapon away, and make every button on a tanks bar either Flash or a defensive, there will be DPS who get out-dps'd by the tank. It's how it works in this game, it's how it works in every game, you can't fix people.

It won't matter next patch because they won't be able to wear them.

all acc can be melded. why not add str? it isn't hard to get grade 6, and the +25 adds up. that's what my g/f did. She hasn't had an issue tanking, more so with the enmity increases.

Anyways, i just melded Str on my Accessories, only V for the 310 ones, but VI for the 320 ones :)

Two things:

For the current vit accessories, you will never be able to meld more than 25 str per each. That means every single tier, you will remain at 25 main stat on your 0 attack power stat accessories, while every other class gets full attack power from theirs without melding anything.

For end game raiding, it's all about min maxing DPS as long as tank busters do not one shot you. Currently even wearing the i270 strength accessories over the vitality+25str meld ones nets you like a 400-500 increase in DPS.

I know it's totally off-topic, but it's actually true. Every second post you have on the forum is "my girlfriend". It would be adorable if it weren't so cringe-worthy.


On-topic, I agree completely. I expected tenacity would be the new det for tanks, I was so disappointed to learn it isn't quite so. It does feel silly that we are the -only- class that needs to meld a main stat (STR) to the accessories.

then maybe it is time to adjust to the changes. We haven't even seen the high end raids yet, but i think it is time for people to adjust and change the meta. None of your OP mentions raiding btw. I was posting from a basic tank perspective. Not a "world first" follower.

btw atm she has 1700 str with her gear vs 2300+/- vit. and has yet had issues holding hate. (which is a tanks job) leave dps to the dps.

My g/f mains tank, I player with her 90% of the time. Im just putting our thoughts in here, nothing wrong with that. Comments like your are more cringe worthy to be frank, She has disabilities that make it hard to talk. And does not have access to anything to post on here. I post from my phone/ laptop.
