So POTD saves

When do they start not counting disconnects as a party wipe...The point to having achievements for soloing POTD is for people to try it? It'd be nice if everytime the server kicked people it didn't count as a wipe and then you gotta start over...lol (This is entirely salt from being on 49 out of 50 and losing the save because the server crapped out on random people just now) Please make saves not be a wipe if the server or just disconnects in general are the issue..since they're happening so much more lately...

I agree with disconnects shouldn't wipe you, but the game leaves you logged in for a time. You're probably dead in that time anyway, and it being a solo dungeon, you've already lost. Very rarely will you disconnect and be immediately removed from combat.

I mean, if DCs don't count as wipes, why wouldn't people just DC to avoid eating a wipe?

In reply to actual comment, I've played games in the past that if something like that happened, even in a solo dungeon, it still put you back in and rolled back a few seconds in case you were in combat to prevent death from happening, I doubt that'd happen here but...still.

I read that post. It's way too willing to simply assume it couldn't be a problem. You don't always persist in game that long after a disconnect and disconnecting doesn't automatically kill you.

I see how the system could get gamed by this a la disconnecting Ethernet cord at right times to cheese a trap, or bad mob spawn and prepare better when you get back in. I agree failing the whole duty shouldn't happen, maybe reset the floor and randomize it again would suffice. (Edit: example: you're on floor 89, get DC'd instead of failing and go back to floor 81, it resets floor 89)

I mean that'd be fine, the reason I actually mentioned this, is because they have a floor 200 solo achievement now, the only way to get there past 100 is to not die once, and to get it you have to do 1-100 for it to count, so when you wipe you start at 1.
