Unable to update patch files.

A friend of mine has been unable to update ever since the most recent patch.

Tried adjusting internet security settings, restarting, deleting the ffxivpatch folder, running as administrator, getting it out of read only mode... and none of it has even come close to changing anything.

EDIT: Please help. Changing DNS didn't help, flushing the DNS didn't help, nothing seems to be working. It just will not patch.

Delete the ffxiv_dx11 file in your install directory X:\Games\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\game
relaunch the FFXIV launcher as an admin and it should update.
Doing this fixed it for me.

Have you tried going to the updater file and deleting it? I was having similar problems (dif error codes dough) and it seems to be working now.
