Where are our water-spells?

Sorry if this has been asked before - I didnt went through all the threads in order to make sure it didnt, I'll admit that straight away!

However, to my point: While hunting I realised that quite a few enemies have generic "water"-spells. Wether its really just a cast called "water" or water-based AoEs - so clearly there is "real" water-magic out there, yet non of our classes seems to have access to it except for Fluid Aura from Conjurer/WHM.
So, naturally you'd expect WHMs to get more water-based skills - having water, wind and earth for them, while covering the other three elements by BLM, basically.
Yet... we never got any more water-spells.
Are the healing-spells "water-aspected"? Or is there a reason that water isnt an element we can use for our magic?

Esuna is Water.
Most Water stuff for WHM is on their OGCD. Specially the new ones.

The color of the WHM spell/action icon indicates its alignment to Water/Earth/Wind. A lot of them are aligned with two of the three white magic elements.

It's certainly possible that Water spells are mostly support-based, related to Esuna, Benediction, Tetragrammaton, Divine Benison, and Plenary Indulgence, perhaps? They seem to use water as the element used in OGCD healing spells although I can be wrong here. I'm guessing the reason behind the lack of water offensive spells is because we already have Stone to do that, and a Water offensive spell would only complicate the hotbars for no reason.

Also, don't forget the Ninjutsu, Suiton! ;)

We Play Creatures that are made mostly of water (just like me and you) , So we can assume that Water Spell's are cure spells.

BLM:
Fire = Single Target
Blizzard = AoE
Thunder = DoT

WHM
Stone = Single Target
Aero = DoT

Water can be an AoE spell for WHM

Still a bit surprised WHMs don't have Quake, Tornado, or Flood yet.

Some water spells would be nice though. Maybe low potency for damage with MP restoring?

Tornado would have been a badass oGCD that would be like Tri-disaster, inflicting Aero, Aero II, and Aero III on all targets. But they went ahead and deleted half of those effects, so...

Well esuna is now a roleskill. So i guess its just a normal element such protect. Lets say.. a basic spell.
Devine benison is indeed a waterspell (think a npc mentioned it, but the animation is very fluid). Benediction is a pure light/holy spell. But it is related to benison so its possible a waterspell.. so you are not wrong for assuming it.
As for tetragrammaton. I guess its just a pure holy spell.
I wish SE re-edit description on whm skills terms of elements ish.

Would be cool if WHM got their hands on Flood as aoe and with very long CD. Or rename fluid aura to water and make it offensive ogcd again XD

Cure is Wind aspected. The green swirls around you give that away, especially compared to the yellow orbs of Stone and the old Esuna animation.
