Mooch 2 issue-Fishing

Mooch 2 due to it's long cooldown is interfering in the mooching process. I have had fish call for it when I just used it on the last cast, and was unable to use regular or mooch 2.

I was attempting to catch the Assassin fry minion in the tangle and as it takes:

Catch Ala Mhigan
Mooch Assassin beta
Mooch Assassin Beta
then catch the Assassin ninja

It keeps setting off mooch 2 and I cannot mooch a recast. Mooch 1 does not light up to be used during this process and the timer runs out. Please fix

It is working as intended I'd say. Mooch II has 15 second 'active time' and 3 minute cooldown for a reason; you can't abuse mooching all the things whenever you want. Mooch II will always light up when you catch a moochable fish. If you catch the moochable fish as HQ, the basic Mooch will activate instead. It's situational skill to use when time is limited, for example Fisher's Intuition that lasts less than a minute and you need a mooch.

That's the way it is supposed to work. Mooch is only usable on HQ fish. The advantage of Mooch II is that it does not require HQ.

I am telling you that the basic mooch is not lighting for me most of the time when the mooch 2 is on timer. I get an HQ double at every cast. Do I need to remove some gear? I have over 280 IL.

I don't see the issue.

Mooch only triggers when you pull up a HQ fish you can mooch with.

Mooch II only triggers when you pull up a NQ fish you could have mooched had it been HQ.
If Mooch II is on cooldown at this point, you don't get to use it, the end. You re-cast your line just like before you had Mooch II.

What interference could there even be?

I think you're mistaking Mooch II triggering as you catching something HQ you could have Mooched with.

Your 'overkill' item level doesn't affect it at that point. What Espritduo and miyakai said already; if the fish you fish up is moochable, but NQ, only Mooch II will activate. (Which I mentioned will always light up with a moochable fish). If the fish is not moochable, yet it's HQ, mooch won't be available at all. At the Tangle there's only 3 fish you can mooch with; Ala Mhigan Fighting fish, Silverfish and Assassin Betta, rest can't be mooched even if they're HQ.


example 1 you fish up:
You get Ala Mhigan Fighting fish NQ = no Mooch, but Mooch II activates
You use Mooch II so it'll start the 3 minute cooldown on that ability
You get Assassin Betta NQ = no Mooch, but Mooch II activates (yet you can't use it because of cooldown)
end of your mooch chain

example 2:
You fish up Ala Mhigan Fighting fish HQ = Mooch activates
You use Mooch
You fish up Assassin Betta NQ = no Mooch, but Mooch II activates
You use Mooch II (3 minute cooldown activates)
You fish up Assassin Betta HQ = Mooch is available.
You use Mooch
You fish up Assassin Betta NQ = No mooch, and Mooch II is still on cooldown
