Monk vs. Bard - Who Should Be Providing Direct Hit?
I've noticed a dichotomous position between how Brotherhood should be solved to either:
"Increase all damage dealt by nearby party members by 5%" or "Allow the damage/bonus to affect the Monk".
Neither are good solutions imo; the first instance completely outshines Dragon Sight on a shorter recast timer and the second is just a lazy solution.
The theme of the direct hit stat being more frequent and less deadly than critical hit fits right in with the Monk from the offset. Brotherhood should give 5/10% direct hit rate to nearby party members - NIN brings vuln, DRG brings crit, MNK brings d.hit, SAM brings insane damage.
Battle Voice for the BRD should just reset any of the 3 songs that are on cooldown to allow for more flexibility and accurate usage of Troubadour. Currently it requires heavy mechanic understanding to line up applicable use of it. BRD already brings 2% crit, 3% vuln, mitigation, healing/health gain, debuff removal, MP/TP regen - why more?
