Dissipation suggestion

Dissipation should return eos/selene to the field after the timer expires.

Bahamut returns Garuda to the field at the end of the duration, so there's no reason that dissipation can't do the same thing. It also highly contradicts the new gauge and is counter-intuitive, but if you fix it so that it returns the pet, that alone would be a huge improvement.

That's all. Short and sweet.

....Oh also give us back an AOE filler.

Scholars have been screaming about this useless ability since 3.0 and they have done exactly zip about it. Unfortunately I think we are stuck with it as is, for whatever reason the Dev's don't seem to think there is an issue with it and pass over it every single patch with no adjustments. I think they nerfed our fairy so bad in 4.0 because they want us to use dissipation. They probably think, well if we make the fairy so weak that they don't really notice when they're gone perhaps they'll see the value in killing them off for 30 seconds and getting a little buff to healing potency with 3 aether stacks. Which is bollocks. I do like your idea, not only should the fairy return to the field but the buff to our healing magic should be more like 50% and when our fairy returns to the filed, all aether stacks should be refreshed again.

Yes because 12 aether stacks over 60 seconds sounds like a good game design choice :rolleyes: Maybe it could make us immune to damage while they are at it

holy balls 50% maybe 30% for 30 seconds so we at least feel its more worth it, as much as being a healing god for 30 seconds would be awesome 50% is a bit much I think. simply giving us our fairy back would be huge in bringing the synergy of this skill more in line with the rest of our current kit. a refresh to our stacks would also be nice but I feel two refresh's is also a lot, the one we get from using the skill is fine. sadly SE doesn't seem to hear our pleas and just ignore sch complaints on these expac skills that seem to directly contradict each other, sch is a class trying to find itself again in 4.0 hopefully they do something to help.

The only AoE filler I want is turning Ruin II into an AoE.

Yeah, I agree that aetherstacks being refreshed BESIDES fairy resummon is too much, to be honest, but at least calling fairy back onto the field (and maybe add a way for it to not completely reset the bloody gauge) I think is warranted. The skill as it is, and has been for the most part of its time of being in the game, is borderline useless

EDIT: healing bonus is alright as is, I think... 50% seems a bit too much and unneeded, specially when healing skills using stacks are unaffected by it and the 30% more than make up for the absent free regen effect... I feel if all these changes were made to dissipation it would bring more balance issues rather than fix them tbh.

EDIT 2: This would be even more interesting if Selene wasn't such a huge waste of MP and had more useful utility buffs - dissipation could be potentially used as a fairy swapping tool

Naw, Ruin 2 can stay where it is - it's useful for moving between mechanics. What I want for an AoE filler is Meltdown from the recently vacated Lv40 job quest.

Remember when SE told us they lowered the healing buff on Dissipation because they were worried it'd be too overpowered?

Can Meltdown have a defense down debuff similar to how virus works (Used to work? I assume the 60 second cooldown is still in effect).

You gotta learn the art of negotiation, if you want 30, you ask for 50 and let them meet you in the middle. If we suggest 30, they very well may nerf us even lower then we are right now given their recent track record with destroying the Scholar class.
