Someone please tell me how to AoE on MNK!!

I have an idea on what to do, but man, I feel like if there's not a blm or smn in the party the AoE damage of the party is terrible and it takes forever. I feel like I'm doing something wrong.

So how exactly am I supposed to do this? I'm just lv65 btw. Not 70 yet.

For dungeon pull AOE, do your normal rotation + Rockbreaker, then use Perfect Balance after you get GL3.

So basically: Form Shift to Coeurl > Rockbreaker > get Twin Snakes up > repeat until GL3 > Perfect Balance > spam Rockbreaker.

I'm no pro Monk by any means but I've been "maining" it for a few months now. PB is definitely nice to use on Rockbreaker spam, but I've noticed if you blow PB on trash in most cases it won't be ready in time for the first boss.

I definitely like to Form Shift to Coeurl and, depending on the size of the pack, will open with either Demolish or Rockbreaker. Or you could probably Form Shift to Raptor, use Twin Snakes and follow up with Rockbreaker. On 5+ mobs I'll usually use AotD unless there's a particularly dangerous mob in there I want to work down faster, in which case I'll default to Bootshine/Dragonkick on that one -> Twin Snakes/True Strike -> Rockbreaker.

Weaving in all other oGCDs! But I'm sure there's a more experienced Monk that could point you in a better direction.

Avoid arm of destroyer for now unless you feel confident in your tp management.(Don't use it if less than 4 mobs present)
Get yourself in the right position and target the right mob(in the middle) to make sure your Rockbreaker hit all of them.
Keep twinsnake up all the time,if its already up then truestrike at the rear of targeted mob.
You're gonna need to adjust your position and constantly change target all the time to spread aggro.(less burden the tank)
Use all your available OGCD (Elixir Field,Howling Fist,Steel Peak)
Don't hesitate to use mantra if tank HP gets a bit too low.(less burden the healer)

And most importantly : Dodge all AOE while doing everything said above.

Normally for trash pulls, i'll form shift and apply demo on different targets while tank is pulling. This way by the time theyre done grabbing ill have 2-3 stacks of GL

AotD is great for 4 mobs (at least 200 potency) or more and you dont have to worry about positionals, then twin/true then rb.

If there are there are 3 mobs you can still use AotD if you feel you can manage TP (invigorate/purification) and dont be afraid to ask for tactician (brd/mch) or goad (other melee dps) if you need them. But if youre struggling with TP, drg kick > twin/true > rb, switch targets and repeat. This way when you hit 2nd rb onwards, at least 2 mobs will have blunt resist debuff, increasing your rb dmg.

Now in the event youve run out of TP, use single target skills and weave in meditation only if your TP doesnt tick enough in time. That way you can still be hitting and keeping GL while building up enough chakra for purification (or waiting for invigorate) Hope this helps! Have fun AoEing

I normally go in starting with Rockbreaker. If there's 3+, I-ll use AotD. Pop Internal Release for Chakra procs, to both burn enemies down faster (The Forbidden Chakra) and maintain TP during AoE (Purification)
Hope this helps man! Feel free to use Internal Release just about whenever, it has a short cooldown

Rockerbreaker more rockerbreaker and some more rockbreaker monk has amazing aoe damage

Get on Fist of Wind (or Sprint), then use Form Shift to go into Coeurl.
While on the run:
Demolish > Form Shift > Twin Snakes / Form Shift > Demolish > Form Shift x2 > Demolish > Form Shift > Twin Snakes
You can change Demolish to Rock Breaker once you stop, just be sure to reach the end of the run with as many GL stacks as you can.

Once stopped assuming you have GL3 just change to Fist of Fire and prepare for some Rock Breaker spamming.
If you wanna use Arm of the Destroyer, 4+ enemies do the trick, but personally I rather not use it unless 5+.
TP should be fine to expend until the 150~200 mark
If you wanna run use AotD even at low TP skip True Strike with Form Shift.
