Because all the classes play horrible now below 70. There are some exceptions but losing a lot of defining abilities especially after the pruning of old abilities makes lower level dungeons on the roulette so mind numbingly boring that I can't bring myself to do them. They need to fine tune the system so we don't lose access to our higher level abilities when our level is synced down for the lower level dungeons. Who cares if it creates some imbalance, none of that content is hard anyways.
It's not that hard and fairly easy. Takes times to adjust, feels weird, yet they are do able and go by pretty fast. We have been spoiled :P
I do agree it feels boring, but verity tomes are verity tomes. /shrug

Things don't feel that different from what it was in HW. So suck it up I guess?
i do it for two reasons:
1. It helps out the newer folks get a queue pop
2. I get Tomes. TOMES TOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMEESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! haha ha aaahahaha

This was why I moaned so much about WHM losing stoneskin; now I have no shields at all for my FC challenges and can't justify ever taking it because it destroys the job for some lowman/minimum sync encounters that AST and even nerfed-to-death SCH can manage fine. Stupid Benison :(
In fairness, low level dungeons always sucked. Its juts more obvious now that you lose so much.
I'd be happy though if leveling roulette would put you in the relevant dungeon for the lowest level party member, or something more relevant. I die a little inside every time I get tamtara and see everyone is on a level 60+ job.
nothing changed for me , I always hated playing synced , being used to max level rotations makes it boring to revert back to leveling rotation
I hope they change it so you can keep all your abilities and just sync the damage
I was almost excited while reading the OP, until I reached the "Who cares if it's unbalanced..." part.
Yes, they totally broke several jobs pre-70 in order to get the Lv70 stuff to work, which is terrible game design. They should have designed it in such a way that all previous functionality was maintained. That's not to say they can't do away with some things. But taking things like DRK's Blood Price and nerfing it into the ground just so they could add the Blood Gauge in the way they wanted is not okay. They should have just designed Blood Gauge to work around the way Blood Price already worked.
However, it matters a lot whether it's unbalanced. Adding synced-down Lv70 skills to Lv50 content may seem fun, but those bosses were never designed to take those abilities into account. It might work, as long as it was synced down. But I would be very worried about some of the bosses becoming exceptionally easy due to the new skills. Still, considering how badly they gimped pre-70 jobs, jobs more or less feel incomplete until 70 now. So giving people access to their full arsenal of skills at all levels might go quite a distance towards encouraging players to actually play synced content. I'm quite split on this.
