DRK - All this Dark Arts spam is giving me carpal tunnel

No seriously, ever since 4.0 DRK I'm having some significant wrist and finger pains due to constantly having to spam Dark Arts all the time. I play on controller and it's really wrecking me, forcing me to play other jobs instead simply because I can't handle how often you have to press Dark Arts.

Anyone else having this issue or have controller tips on where to play Dark Arts to make it less harmful to your wrist?

buy a kb&m, pretty sure its supported even if youre a console peasant. Much more efficient and easier on your hands

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks spamming Dark Arts every 2 sec is annoying.
I feel like DRK is on filler status right now. Not only do we have to spam DA but also oGCDs and defensive cooldowns. Nobody wants to double weave oGCDs SE.

For me, as a PC player using a controller, have DA set to Left Trigger + DPad Left. Its relatively easy to reach and is not causing any soreness even when fighting for a longer period of time. Note that I am using an Xb360 controller, and I have no experiences with the PS Devices.

Playing on a controller, absolutely no problem here.

I suggest to try to change your Cross Hotbar and make it more comfortable to use.

In HS, I was using L2+Triangle, I switch to R2+Up since It's near my main combo and skills. A bit hard to be used to the change but now it's better. :)

Other than just don't white-knuckle your controller,

On xbox controller I put Dark Arts on 'B' button on both the left and right extended crossbar. To reach it then is just a matter of holding down both triggers regardless of which shoulder I'm already holding down. And PS/SEater combo finishers are 'B' on the regular crossbar, so there is practically no finger movement. Don't know if that helps.

Teach yourself not to spam-bash the buttons, if you're guilty of doing that and that's the issue. Playing NIN is good practice to stop that button mashing.

Get surgery for your carpal tunnel.

Fix your hotbar

I think it's just annoying. DA use to be a reward for managing mp properly. Now it just feels like a redundant skill with how much you can use it.
