PvP mounts question

In order to get the PvP reward mounts you need to equip a title and win a certain number of times right? My question being does the title have to be from the class you're currently playing? Wondering because I've been playing Samurai that doesn't currently have a title, however, I do have a monk so I went and got the Monk title to try and get the mounts. Will this work or do I need to actually play as my Monk for the wins to count towards the mount?

Any makai title will work, whatever your class is.
