Change Excogitation

Excogitation is a skill that on paper seems good and definitely would have seen use in HW, but with stance dancing no longer being a thing, Exocogitation seems superfluous, given its 60s cooldown while still costing aetherflow, to give us a maybe heal that's only slightly stronger than Lustrate, which you can use whenever you want and without cooldown

First off I would take away its aetherflow cost, since not everything needs to cost aetherflow. Having it with a cooldown and aetherflow cost is pretty dumb

Second, the fact that it only goes off when the target's health drops below 50% and can just drop off when the timer runs out hurts a lot. I feel it should take a page (hurr) from AST and copy Earthly Star. Apply the buff which you can activate for a heal whenever you want. Let it sit for a set amount of time and it gets enhanced, like having a higher potency or perhaps a stronger shield than Adlo. Maybe even let us deploy Excogitation so we can set this off on the entire party

I just wish it didn't have a duration, it's barely stronger than lustrate and has these extra ridiculous conditions. Can't target self, target has to drop below 50% hp and it has to happen in a very short period of time or it'll just wear off.

If it could remain on the target indefinitely so it could work like an emergency heal that trips if you let the tank get too low it would be fine in my opinion, something to save you from having to stop what you're doing to help the tank for a few seconds longer, or save you an aetherflow spent on a lustrate if you put it on them and don't use it for a while. Would make it feel more like a reward for keeping the tank topped up. Rather than a quirky lustrate.

It's not TOO bad. I feel SCH has issues but Excogitation is not one of them.

Use it when Susano EX is casting Storm Splitter, cast Adlo, and you nullify the tank buster entirely allowing you and your co-haler to do some dps in the meantime. Storm Splitter can be nasty especially as Susano melees right afterwards, so the tank needs to be healed inbetween the two - and Excogitation does that automatically.

I very much feel it will come into its own as a situational tool in raiding. Anything where a buster is followed by auto attack, and any move that takes players to 1 hp. Photon, anyone? I'm sure the community will find other uses too.

Excog doesn't really do much that a <tt> macro on your lustrate with some timing wouldn't though and that's the problem. Sure its fine whatever yeah sch is fine blah blah, but its basically a useless button at the moment. If it didn't expire at the very least then I would say yes its actually really good.

Honestly it should be like AST Earthly star, if the skill Duration its over, and the skill is yet not used, it will isnta pop.

Excognition + Deployment would be great, id even be okay with it if you could only deploy Adlo or Excog, prioritizing Excog if both were up. Mix in E4E and it could be a great burst heal with a chance of mitigation for aoe raid damage.

If it was deployable I would be accepting of the timer as well. It really should go off either way though as a shield or heal regardless. Something like if the timer wears off it creates a 300 potency shield so it turns into a adlo. But thats wishful thinking maybe.

That would make Indomibility useless. Actually, you may as well use the stack on one of them, mostly they will yield the same result. They do know to keep the party alive. Excog should first of all not cost a stack.

If there is any change that Excog should get before they release any raid content, it would be for its ability to crit.

Sacred Soil has a 45 second CD.
Indomitability has a 30 second CD.

If your point is that it's a single targetted proc heal, anytime a person is sub 50%, it's Excog > Lustrate when the proc aspect is not needed whatsoever (especially if it crit).

Also keep in mind in situations in which Adloquium isn't needed, but TB brings tanks no less than 1 HP, Excog can be used in place as you theoretically substitute a GCD (and 1.8k MP) for Excog, and convert that GCD that would've been Adloquium into a Broil, netting you more Potency and MP over a single energy drain.
